In BMP360, products are pure definitions — they carry no stock quantity. Stock is managed entirely through the Inventory Batch System. A product must exist before it can be invoiced or stocked.
Creating a New Product
- Navigate to Product Management in the left sidebar.
- Click Add New Product.
- Complete the product creation form: name, SKU, description, category, brand or supplier association, cost price, selling price, and website visibility toggle.
- Optionally upload product images and add additional specifications.
- Click Save to create the product record.
A product must be associated with either a Brand or a Supplier — not both. This classification is set at creation time and determines how the product is categorised.
Editing a Product
- Navigate to Product Management and locate the product using search or filters.
- Click the product name or the Edit button to open the product form.
- Make the necessary changes.
- Click Save Changes.
Changing the selling price on a product does not retroactively affect any existing invoices — all financial documents are sealed at creation with a snapshot of the price at that time.
Website Visibility
Each product has an individual Website Visibility toggle. When enabled, the product appears in your public website's product catalogue. You can control visibility per product independently — you do not need to publish your entire catalogue.
SKU Best Practices
- Use consistent, standardised SKU formats across your product range.
- Include relevant identifiers such as category code, variant, and sequence number.
- Avoid spaces in SKUs — use hyphens or underscores instead.
- Never reuse a SKU for a different product, even after the original is discontinued.
